Essays written in Nepali by the students


1. Importance of education

Prajanna Biswakarma of class 10 wrote an essay on the importance of education in which she describes the importance of school especially in her locality where many children come from vulnerable backgrounds. 




2. Mother

Rishika Tamang of class 10 has beautifully written an essay about her mother. In her essay she describes how her mother has influenced her in life and how she sacrificed so much to give her the best in life . 

3. My village

Somchur Lepcha of class 9 writes in her essay about her village "Ngassey" which means "a place to rest" in her mother tongue which is lepcha . Her essay tells us about the various agricultural work done by the people, about their daily lives and about the various people in the village.


 

4. Human behavior 

Pravesh Kumai of class 9 wrote a poem describing the human nature and behavior. He vividly describes the everyday behavior pattern of a human being and how it has evolved throughout the years.

 

5. Earth

Alok Lama of class 8 describes about mother earth in his essay. He emphasizes upon the importance of earth and the benefits we get from mother nature. It also states the consequences if we misuse mother nature and that we should value this wonderful gift !!

The GASChorus, Musician and Dancers from Xavier Sangeetanjali and Young Musicians from Delhi and Mumbai toured with the GASOrchestra for a week presenting one-hour-long concerts at Siliguri, Kurseong, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Gangtok as part of the Strings of Hope Concert Tour. April - May 2024 Newsletter

  May was a month of notable achievements. One, the GASChorus, Musician and Dancers from Xavier Sangeetanjali and Young Musicians from Delhi and Mumbai toured with the GASOrchestra for a week presenting one-hour-long concerts at Siliguri, Kurseong, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Gangtok as part of the Strings of Hope Concert Tour. March 2024 Newsletter

We began March with a Eucharistic Celebration and the Blessing of the School by Fr. Francis Xavier Subba SJ.  We started with the first round of Class-House Assemblies this month interpreting the school year theme - Culture of Human Excellence.  A french artist, Anne Guilhbaud gave a workshop to our promising artists from Class 6 through our partners, the Himalayan Institute of Goodwill and Living Ethics.  We also began our Musical Mornings with a cello duet presented by our senior cello students under the guidance of our Cello Facilitator, Devraj Rai.  Our Music Volunteer, Philipp Engel presented German childrens’ songs with our Kindergarteners.  Our Music Team organised ‘Rendition 2024’, the school’s talent festival, this time focusing on unique performances.  Our Senior Orchestra performed at the International Women’s Day event organised at the Kalimpong Town Hall by the Anandadhara unit of the District Administration and Hayden Hall Institute.  A...
